Founder of cryptocurrency Bitcoin
Satoshi Nakamoto is the creator of Bitcoin cryptocurrency, but his identity is among the greatest mysteries of the current digital world.
Cryptomoneda was created in 2009, but since then the value of Bitcoin has varied as much as the assumptions about who would really be behind the alias of Satoshi Nakamoto. It is not exactly clear why he chose to remain anonymous. Among the assumptions is that it would avoid being in the crosshairs of regulators.
The possibilities are many and opinions are divided. Some even believe that the man behind the pseudonym has already died, and the mystery will never be solved. On the other hand, there is also the theory that the CIA or a similar organization in another state of the world is behind Bitcoin.
Craig Wright claims he is Satoshi Nakamoto and created the Bitcoin currency
Among the challengers to Bitcoin creator status is Craig Wright, an expert in Computer Engineering in Australia. He proclaimed himself the inventor of cryptocurrency and resorted to all sorts of attempts to convince the general public that he was actually Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. Some have accepted this truth. Colombia has even been officially recognized for its status.
However, sceptics appear to have been entitled not to recognise his identity. In April 2019, Satoshi Nakamoto refuted the rumors himself on the Bitcoin Discussion forum. “I’m not Craig S. Wright. See you in 2140,” he wrote on the internet. This is the year when the last cryptocurrency will be mined.
How could we find out the identity of the Bitcoin founder
John McAfee, founder of software company McAfee, announced earlier this year that he knows who Satoshi Nakamoto really is and is about to expose him. However, the businessman would prefer the Bitcoin founder to show himself. Thus, McAfee would give more and more details about the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto until he came forward on his own.
By now, he has already mentioned that Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, is male and lives in the United States.
However, the businessman’s claims should be viewed with a dose of skepticism. There is no evidence that John McAfee really owns this information and it could just be an attempt to increase popularity.
If Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity is revealed, the future of Bitcoin could suffer. Experts argue that trying to associate cryptocurrency with one person or the company would be exactly the opposite of the idea of Bitcoin. Thus, the value of cryptocurrency could either increase or decrease.
Assumptions are many, and there is a possibility that we will never find out who Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin, really is.
